Why do I say that, you ask? Because of this:
Today’s gun culture needs to end
…
Lest anyone thinks there is no gun culture today, consider this one-headline page on an Internet news service at 3 p.m. on Dec. 17:
“Another day, More Deaths: Two Police Officers Shot and Killed in Kansas … 3-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots Himself, Dies … Gunman At large After Shooting Victim 4 Times … Man Shoots Wife … One Person Shot in San Antonio, Gunman Later Shot By Cops … Woman Shot At Campground … Woman Shot To Death, Son ‘Thought She Was Sleeping’… 3 Gunned Down In Grand Rapids.”
So either the dickhead Fudd that wrote this does not know the difference between “gun culture” and “thug culture” or he does not care. Not only that, he apparently thinks you can actually buy guns on the Internet with no background check. This sort of shoddily-researched and defamatory piece would likely get you thrown out of any self-respecting journalism program. Why should it be accepted as worthy of a major metro daily’s column-inches because it was written by some no-name Joe Fudd?
Perhaps this is more of the E-N editorial page editor’s campaign to make liberals look bad. Yeah, that’s gotta be it.

These scumbags think that the moment is theirs and are going for the gold. I beg to differ.

They do indeed, but I think they’re in for a rude surprise.
