    Amen.

Hey, send me an email – I want to chat.

I agree with the sentiment, on the other hand, the country has been a close ally, didn’t invite President Marie Antoinette, and was insulted by him. Speaks well for them.

You’re right, of course, Les. Nothing against Britain itself, just the insane spectacle the American media made of the whole thing. I mean, really, was it really worth all that airtime and all those column-inches?

      • Les Says:

Well, the American media adores President Antoinette, Castro, and Lindsey Lohan. The British Royal family is not in good company.

    Sorry….I was out shooting today.

    Did I miss something?

This is me turning green with envy! Like I was telling BP in email, Baby Vulcan weeps BITTER tears when he looks at me. Yes, it has been that long since I have been to the range. Lol. What were you shooting?

      • AeroDillo Says:

My 1937 Brazilian contract Smith & Wesson and my never-ending 1911A1 rebuild. It was warhorse day.

Trying to get some pictures up, but evidently in the weeks it’s been since I used the camera I’ve lost all ability to find good light, properly frame a shot, or arrange the subject matter.

Couple English friends have pointed out that they serve a useful purpose. If they weren’t nominal royalty some of them might very well end up elected. They don’t cost the people much and it keeps them from actually being government. Last number I saw was it was about 75 cents a person per year, which is a lot better than the sports teams and other stupid bonds some American cities have. Gives the public a circus they like and keeps them from running for parliament. Two birds, one stone. Plus, if they left they would take a lot of “national treasures” with them, as likely as not.

Oh yeah, and not just on the professional level. I remember a story a while back in the San Antonio Express-News about the North East ISD wanting to float a $400 million bond package for new athletic facilities. How many teachers could that money pay for?
