Hmmm… Not one “Ghost Riders in the Sky”, or “Big Iron”, or “Margaritaville”, for that matter.

Well, I DO have Gunfighter Ballads & Trail Songs around here somewhere, and Live At Folsom Prison, for that matter.

My favorite Jimmy Buffett song has always been “Come Monday.” And I do have a version of “Margaritaville” on my iTunes, recorded with Alan Jackson & George Strait from a one-off live concert in Dallas in May 2004. (I was at that show, by the way, and it was great.)

Re #10: I think I previously commented here that although that song sounds great overall, every time Axl says “DOE-WAH”, I want to hit him in the head with a two by FOE-WAH. Yo, Axl, it’s dooR, ya frickin’ pendejo.

Nice! You hardly ever see people give Queensyche props anymore. Especially the early stuff like “The Lady Wore Black”.

    I like your playlist.

Thank you! I was introduced to Queensryche via Sirius and went out & got all their earlier stuff. And yeah, I put it all on here. 😉 My favorite album from them is The Warning.

My father-in-law was a frat bro of Buffett back in the day. Personally I don’t care for his music.
Have you heard that they’re doing a Ryche & Roll weekend on the Boneyard this weekend? I heard that yesterday. Gonna play songs from upcoming Queensryche album.

  5. southtexaspistolero Says:

Ahhh! No, I didn’t hear that. I haven’t been able to listen to to Sirius since I traded trucks. And even if I was able to line my Sirius receiver in with that radio, that would’ve ended when the truck radio got jacked. Grrr.

At any rate, I’ve heard samples of the new QR album and sad to say I was not impressed. They more or less confirmed the thoughts I had here.

  6. peter Says:

Didn’t think about the fact that your loss of stereo in your truck would affect your satellite radio. I have the MyFi that can be used both indoors and in the car, though I rarely bring it inside. It would suck not to have it. I rarely listen to terrestrial radio in the car.
