So which is it?

Are the lefties all about collectives or not?

Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, clearly irritated by a handful of hecklers amid supporters at the Iowa State Fair, insisted Thursday that “corporations are people,”…

Several people in the front of the crowd — they identified themselves as linked to the liberal Iowa Center for Community Involvement— interrupted: “No, they’re not.”

What an odd thing about rabid lefties. They seem to think militias have more of a right to keep and bear arms, but corporations have the less of a right than individuals do when it comes to keeping more of their money. Which is it? Are collectives the way to go or not?

Come to think of it, maybe it’s not so odd. When you look at it a certain way, it becomes clear — it’s all about taking more of the people’s money and freedom.

That’s an interesting point. Thought provoking.

This part just doesn’t follow. Isn’t it about taking less of the people’s money and more of their freedom (of choice of firearm)? Wasn’t your point that if groups are to be trusted with more freedom of firepower, they ought to be trusted with more spending power as well?

The Left seems to think that with regards to the 1st Amendment you enjoy as an individual, but lose it when you group together with other individuals to form a Corporation.

The Left also thinks that the 2nd Amendment is you enjoy only when you join a collective group of citizens, which magically disappears when members of said group act as individuals.

What is a corporation? It’s a group of individuals coming together to form a group in order to further some mutual interest.

Both groups, corporation and militia are created by individuals under the same basic principle.
