I hope he wins…

and wins really damn big. Even if Jeremy Hoven had told Walgreens about his permit, does anyone really think they’d have acquiesced to him carrying his sidearm when he was working? If it’s really that big of a deal that he’d get fired over it, my guess is that there’s no way they’d have let him carry at work. (And that’s just as wrong in this situation as it is in a pizza delivery person’s situation.) You know it had to be the non-escalation policy. It’s the only thing that makes sense, and that’s wrong too; it’s basically telling employees that when they’re confronted with a man with a gun, the proper response is to lay down and hope they don’t die. And I just don’t have words for that.
