Yep, he’s right.

Herman Cain, that is:

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain says New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is too liberal for conservative Republicans….

Cain tells “Fox News Sunday” that many conservatives won’t support Christie once they find out about his views on global warming, illegal immigrants and gun control.

Yep. I don’t know about all those other issues, but if Bob Owens is anywhere near right here — and he seems to be, considering how well he’s backed up what he said — Christie is every bit as much a gun banner as someone like Frank Lautenberg or John Kerry. And that’s going to be a no-go for a lot of people.

I’m still waiting to hear something definitive about Cain and his views on the 2A, before deciding one way or another. So far he hasn’t replied to the GOA’s candidate quiz on that, and if he’s not thought through the topic, instead relying on what MSM tells us (like the story about Perry’s family ranch that you mentioned), then he’s gonna need a heavy re-education from the JPFO (especially their vid “No Guns for Negroes” about DEMOCRAT gun policies toward gun-owning blacks) before we go any further.

    This is a start:

He does not support federally-mandated concealed carry reciprocity, which sounds bad on the surface but fits in with firm support of the 10th Amendment. ThinkProgress seems to think this equates to a “moderate” viewpoint on gun rights, but that ignores his oft-repeated support of the 2nd A. There’s a good quote at the end of the video: “I have six guns and that’s not enough.”
