Blaming the wrong people, again.

That’s what I thought when I saw this, anyway…

President Felipe Calderon on Thursday unveiled a “No More Weapons!” billboard made with crushed firearms and placed near the U.S. border. He urged the United States to stop the flow of weapons into Mexico.

Why do I think Calderon is blaming the wrong people? Well

Vigilante justice reigns in much of Mexico, as people sidestep a legal system they consider inadequate to deal with rampant crime.

“People are nervous, terrified,” bus driver Timoteo Pena, 60, said in explaining the mentality of a mob that included many of his relatives. “The authorities have always been lacking, have never responded when we needed them.”

But I guess it’s easier to point the  finger at the dirty gringos than to face the problems with your own system, as well as realize where those machine guns are really coming from.

You think he’d accept a deal where we stopped these mysterious automatic weapons from going south if he’d maybe see about stopping the illegals coming north?

    …or would that be racist?

Why, AeroDillo, you know the answer to that as well as I do, you racist bastard. 😉
