Sad that it took this for everyone to catch on…

…but better late than never, I suppose.

Everybody’s talking about the NSA monitoring emails and phone conversations, the Justice Department going after AP phone records and such, yelling, “First and Fourth Amendment violation!” and talking about how if one part of the Constitution was weakened it would all be weakened eventually. Funny, we Second Amendment absolutists have been saying the same thing for years, if not decades, and we were all told — albeit not in so many words — that we didn’t know what we were talking about, that we had to give up our guns for the common good, and that we wanted children to die if we didn’t agree. Well, here we are.

Or, in the words of John McClane, “Welcome to the party, pal!”

I do not own a gun, but I support the right of law abiding citizens to do so. And you’re right. The Constitution is being trampled. Our forefathers would be screaming and under today’s laws, Ben Franklin and Thomas Paine would be deemed terrorists…

Yes, welcome to the party. Because this is the first injustice that 1st & 4th amendment fans have suffered.
